Gracie Hansen
Club Orion After School Teacher

Gracie Hansen is an Atlanta native. As a child (elementary to middle school) she attended High Meadows School and Camp, and she completed her 16th summer of camp this year. She graduated from North Springs High School in 2006 and then majored in theater at North Carolina School of the Arts for 2 years. While there, she was fortunate enough to work with adults with developmental disabilities in art therapy. Her art therapy experience with adults coupled with inclusive camp experience at High Meadows helped her find her true calling. She has worked with children with a range of ages and diagnoses for 10 years in a multitude of settings from schools and camps to people's homes. She is very active in the American Camping Association and one day soon hopes to continue her schooling to become an Occupational Therapist. Inclusion camps are an ongoing passion, and she hopes to ultimately make a difference within the community by promoting new thinking and understanding. She is very excited to join The Orion School staff and be a part of this warm and wonderful school community.
