Juana Farfan is committed to educate through dance and movement using the creative process and the social change principles in order to encourage positive self esteem for a better community. She brings a wealth of dance and movement experience to her role as teacher at Club Orion after school. She is the Arts Outreach Program Coordinator and Creative Movement Teaching Artist at Dynamic X-Change - CORE Performance Company, teaches Modern Dance at Perimeter College, and is a teaching artist at Playmaking for Girls at Synchronicity Theatre Company, a teaching artist for 9 years at Moving in the Spirit and a performer at CORE Performance Company. Juana has taught Spanish and English through movement at several schools in Metro Atlanta, taught dance workshops to 3rd graders in a native community in the Amazon-Columbia, and taught dance and creative movement workshops at The Children's Museum of Atlanta. She has a BA in Modern Dance performance including Dance Pedagogy: Pre-School and Elementary Method from University of South Florida, and a Dance Education Certification from Teachers Training Institute. Juana is bilingual in English and Spanish.
