Megan has served children with various types of learning disabilities since she received her master’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Occupational Therapy from The Medical College of Georgia in 2005. She is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the state of Georgia. Megan is certified in using the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and has had training with both sensory and behavioral based strategies to address children’s functional needs.
Megan has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Children’s Special Services, The Atlanta Speech School, and school-based and home-based therapy. This is Megan’s first year at the Orion School and she is excited to be a part of the team approach that is one of Orion’s strengths, and learn from the excellent staff and students. She is passionate about getting to know each child individually and assessing his or her opportunities for growth. Megan loves spending time with family, her husband, and especially their one year old daughter, who keeps life very interesting.
