I am very excited to be part of The Orion School staff! I graduated from The University of Florida with a degree in education and specialized in educational psychology. My first job was at The Lullwater School in Decatur, Ga where I taught children with various neurobehavioral and learning disabilities, including ADHD, autism, OCD, and bi-polar disorder. In addition to academics I also taught art, music and physical education. I worked there until I had my first daughter and then I was a stay at home mom until my second daughter was a toddler, when I founded and developed a thriving private preschool and primary school in the College Park area. When my second daughter started kindergarten, I started teaching at Saint Thomas More Catholic School where I taught students that were struggling in the areas of math and language arts. I was also the cheerleader coach. I have a great passion for teaching and I my philosophy is to teach with love, compassion, and guidance. Above all I try very hard to make learning fun and interesting to all of my students.
